Epson CW-C4000 Labels

The CW-C4000 is Epson's compact 4-inch desktop colour label printer. It loads its roll inside the printer, so every roll on this page is wound on a 2" core to a 4" maximum outside diameter, the roll size that drops straight into a CW-C4000 with no external unwinder. Widths run from 1" to 4", in die-cut and continuous, in matte paper, gloss paper, matte BOPP and gloss BOPP.

Roll fit

Why 2" core and 4" OD

The CW-C4000 holds the roll in its internal media bay. A 2" core with a 4" outside diameter is the largest roll ForeFront winds for it, so you get the most labels per roll without an unwinder. Our 3" core, 6" rolls are built for the wider CW-C6000 and CW-C6500 series and will not fit inside a CW-C4000.

Match the stock to your black

  • Matte-black CW-C4000: pairs best with matte paper and matte BOPP for crisp, low-glare text and barcodes.
  • Gloss-black CW-C4000: pairs best with gloss paper and gloss BOPP for rich colour and shelf shine.
  • BOPP (matte or gloss): choose it for fridges, oils, condensation and anything that gets handled.

CW-C4000 label questions

Will 3" core rolls fit my CW-C4000?

No. The CW-C4000 takes its roll internally, so stay with the 2" core, 4" OD rolls on this page. Our 3" core rolls are for the CW-C6000 and CW-C6500.

What is the widest label it prints?

ForeFront rolls for the CW-C4000 go up to 4" wide, in both die-cut and continuous. For 5" to 8" wide labels, look at the CW-C6500.

Die-cut or continuous?

Die-cut gives you clean, consistent shapes and gaps for production runs. Continuous lets the cutter make any length, which suits shops printing many different products.

Can you make a size that is not listed?

Yes. We convert rolls in-house in Mississauga, so custom widths, lengths, circles and materials on a 2" core are available. Send us your size.

Epson CW-C4000 Labels FAQs

Find answers to common questions about Epson CW-C4000 labels, material options, durability, and how to choose the right label roll for your application.

What labels work with the Epson CW-C4000?

The Epson CW-C4000 works with inkjet-compatible matte paper, gloss paper, and BOPP labels. The ideal material depends on your product, environment, and the durability you need.

Are BOPP labels a good choice for the Epson CW-C4000?

Yes. BOPP labels are a strong choice when you need better resistance to moisture, oils, scuffing, and frequent handling, making them ideal for personal care, food, and health product labeling.

What is the difference between matte and gloss Epson CW-C4000 labels?

Matte labels have a softer, non-reflective finish for a clean and professional look, while gloss labels offer a brighter, more polished appearance that helps colors stand out on shelves.

Are these labels suitable for short-run and on-demand color printing?

Yes. Epson CW-C4000 labels are well suited for short-run production, in-house labeling, and on-demand printing where flexibility, color accuracy, and consistent feeding are important.

Can Epson CW-C4000 labels be used for candles, supplements, and cosmetics?
