Roll fit

Why 3" core and up to 8" wide

The CW-C6500 takes the same 3" core rolls as the 4-inch CW-C6000, plus the 5", 6", 7" and 8" continuous widths only the C6500 can print. If you run a CW-C4000 as well, its rolls are a different 2" core size, so order them from that page.

Ink and finish

Match the stock to your black

  • Matte black (SJIC35P MK): pairs best with matte paper and matte BOPP for crisp, low-glare text and barcodes on the CW-C6500.
  • Gloss black (SJIC35P BK): pairs best with gloss paper and gloss BOPP for rich colour and shelf shine.
  • BOPP (matte or gloss): choose it for fridges, oils, condensation and anything that gets handled.

CW-C6500 label questions

What is the widest label it prints?

ForeFront makes continuous rolls for the CW-C6500 in 5", 6", 7" and 8" widths, plus every die-cut size from 1" to 4" wide. For a 4" maximum, the CW-C6000 is the smaller sibling.

Do CW-C6000 rolls fit the CW-C6500?

Yes. Any 3" core roll up to 4.25" wide on our CW-C6000 page also runs on the CW-C6500. The reverse is not true for the 5" to 8" widths.

Die-cut or continuous?

Die-cut gives you clean, consistent shapes and gaps for production runs. Continuous lets you print any length, which suits shops labelling many different products.

Can you make a size that is not listed?

Yes. We convert rolls in-house in Mississauga, so custom widths, lengths, circles and materials on a 3" core are available. Send us your size.

Epson CW-C6500 Labels FAQs

Find answers to common questions about Epson CW-C6500 labels, compatible materials, durability, and how to choose the right label roll for your application.

What labels work with the Epson CW-C6500?

The Epson CW-C6500 works with inkjet-compatible matte paper, gloss paper, and BOPP labels. The best material depends on your product, environment, and the durability you need.

Are BOPP labels a good choice for the Epson CW-C6500?

Yes. BOPP labels are a strong option when you need better resistance to moisture, oils, scuffing, and frequent handling, making them ideal for industrial, refrigerated, and warehouse applications.

What is the difference between matte and gloss Epson CW-C6500 labels?

Matte labels provide a softer, non-reflective finish for a clean professional look, while gloss labels offer a brighter, more polished appearance that helps colors stand out on shelves and packaging.

Are these labels suitable for wider-format product labeling?

Yes. Epson CW-C6500 labels are well suited for applications that benefit from a wider label format, including larger packaging labels, warehouse labels, compliance information, and industrial identification.

Can Epson CW-C6500 labels be used for food, cosmetics, and industrial products?

Absolutely. These labels are commonly used for food packaging, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, warehouse labeling, and industrial product identification. The ideal material depends on the container, finish, and environment.

How do I choose the right Epson CW-C6500 label material?

For dry indoor applications and premium presentation, paper labels are often a strong fit. For moisture, refrigeration, oils, or tougher handling conditions, BOPP labels are usually the better choice.
