Primera LX500 Labels

The Primera LX500 (and the LX500c with built-in cutter) is a compact desktop colour label printer for small-batch product labels. Every roll on this page is wound on a 2" core to a 4" outside diameter, from 1" to 4" wide in die-cut and continuous, in matte paper, gloss paper, matte BOPP and gloss BOPP.

Roll fit

Why 2" core and 4" OD

A 2" core, 4" roll is the standard desktop size for the LX500 and keeps the printer compact on a counter. If you also run a larger 3" core printer such as the Primera LX910, order those rolls from its own page.

Ink and finish

One cartridge, three colours

  • The LX500 prints from a single tri-colour (CMY) dye cartridge; black is built from all three colours.
  • Matte paper: the easiest stock for sharp text and barcodes.
  • Gloss paper: brighter colour for retail shelves.
  • BOPP: for handled, chilled or oily products. Dye ink is less water resistant than pigment, so test a roll on wet jobs first.

Every size comes in matte paper, gloss paper, matte BOPP and gloss BOPP. Continuous rolls are 100 ft (90 ft for matte BOPP) and are cut to length as you print.

LX500 label questions

LX500 or LX500c, does it change the roll?

No. Both use the same 2" core rolls. The LX500c adds a built-in cutter, which is handy with continuous rolls.

What is the widest label you make for it?

ForeFront stocks LX500 rolls up to 4" wide in die-cut and continuous.

Die-cut or continuous?

Die-cut gives you clean, consistent shapes and gaps for production runs. Continuous lets you print any length, which suits shops labelling many different products.

Can you make a size that is not listed?

Yes. We convert rolls in-house in Mississauga, so custom widths, lengths and materials on a 2" core are available. Send us your size.
