Which rolls fit the VP660

Labels must be at least 2" wide. The 8" unwinder also takes larger custom rolls we can wind for long jobs. It replaced the VP650, which stops at 6" rolls.

Ink and finish

Match the stock to the ink

  • Memjet water-resistant dye ink handles light moisture better than standard dye.
  • Matte paper: the go-to for ingredient panels, barcodes and dry goods.
  • Gloss paper: richer colour and shine for retail shelves and gift packaging.
  • BOPP (matte or gloss): choose it for fridges, oils, condensation and anything that gets handled.

VP660 label questions

VP650 or VP660 rolls, any difference?

The rolls are the same; the VP660 also takes bigger 8" rolls.

Smallest label width?

2".

Die-cut or continuous?

Die-cut gives you clean, consistent shapes and gaps for production runs. Continuous lets you print any length, which suits shops labelling many different products.

VIPColor VP660 Labels FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask About VIPColor VP660 Labels

What labels are compatible with the VIPColor VP660?

This collection is built for compatible inkjet label rolls designed for the VIPColor VP660. The printer is positioned for glossy, matt paper, and synthetic media, so material choice should match both the print process and the final application.

What label width does the VIPColor VP660 support?

Based on the official VP660 product information, the printer supports 2 to 8.5 inches printable width. That makes it a strong fit for both standard product labels and broader packaging formats that need more print area.

Are VIPColor VP660 labels suitable for moisture-exposed products?

They can be, especially when paired with the right synthetic or application-appropriate label material. The VP660 is marketed around more water-resistant output than many standard dye-based desktop systems, making it relevant for applications such as beverage, chilled food, and personal care labeling.

Can the VIPColor VP660 be used for variable-data labels?

Yes. The VP660 is positioned for in-house printing where changing information matters, including date codes, QR codes, barcodes, multiple SKUs, and shorter production runs that benefit from on-demand printing instead of pre-printed inventory.

How do I choose between paper and synthetic VP660 label materials?

Paper labels are often a strong fit for standard retail packaging and general indoor product labeling. Synthetic materials are usually the better choice when you need more resistance to moisture, scuffing, handling, or a more demanding storage and application environment.

Can I request a custom VIPColor VP660 label size or construction?

Yes. If the size, material, or finish you need is not shown in the standard collection, you can submit a request through the label request page for additional guidance.
