Afinia L301 Labels

The Afinia L301 is a compact colour label printer with HP thermal inkjet cartridges, built for short runs. Its included unwinder takes a 3" core up to 6" across, with media up to 6" wide and labels at least 1.75" wide.

Roll fit

Up to 6" wide

The L301 is narrower than Afinia's 8-inch models, so it runs our rolls up to 6" wide continuous. Labels should be at least 1.75" wide. It has a manual cutter, so continuous jobs are cut by hand.

Ink and finish

HP cartridges, simple swaps

  • One black pigment cartridge plus one tri-colour cartridge, easy and inexpensive to replace.
  • Matte paper: the go-to for ingredient panels, barcodes and dry goods.
  • Gloss paper: richer colour and shine for retail shelves and gift packaging.
  • BOPP (matte or gloss): choose it for fridges, oils, condensation and anything that gets handled.

Every size comes in matte paper, gloss paper, matte BOPP and gloss BOPP unless noted. Continuous rolls are 200 ft (180 ft for matte BOPP); on the L301 you cut them to length with the manual cutter. Sizes listed here are the ones that match the printer's published media specs.

Media up to 6" wide. We stock continuous rolls up to 6" for it.

Smallest label?

About 1.75" wide by Afinia's spec, so 1" and 1.5" wide labels will not run.

Die-cut or continuous?

Die-cut gives you clean, consistent shapes and gaps for production runs. Continuous lets you print any length, then cut by hand on the L301.

Can you make a size that is not listed?

Yes. We convert rolls in-house in Mississauga, so custom widths, lengths, circles and materials on a 3" core are available. Send us your size.
