The Afinia L501 is an 8-inch colour label printer with individual HP CMYK cartridges, in dye or pigment. It takes rolls on a 3" core, and every roll below is wound to a 6" roll.

The L501's successor, the L502, takes the same 3" core rolls up to 8". Afinia does not publish a full L501 media table, so if you run an unusual size, send us the details first.

Ink and finish

Dye or pigment CMYK

  • Individual HP CMYK cartridges in dye or pigment. Pigment suits BOPP and wet products.
  • Matte paper: the go-to for ingredient panels, barcodes and dry goods.
  • Gloss paper: richer colour and shine for retail shelves and gift packaging.
  • BOPP (matte or gloss): choose it for fridges, oils, condensation and anything that gets handled.
