Choose with confidence

Find the right roll in three steps

1

Confirm your printer fit

Start with the exact printer model, maximum label width, core diameter, roll outside diameter, winding direction and sensing method. ForeFront supports popular platforms from Epson ColorWorks, Primera, Afinia and VIPColor.

Common models: Epson TM-C3500, CW-C4000, CW-C6000/C6500 and CW-C8000; Primera LX500, LX600, LX610 and LX-series printers; Afinia L-series systems.

2

Choose the label size

Measure width × height and check the printer’s supported roll construction. Also confirm the core size and maximum roll diameter shown in each product title. Continuous rolls let you cut different lengths when your printer has an automatic cutter.

Not sure? Enter your printer in the Finder before ordering.

3

Select the material and finish

  • Matte paper: easy-to-read, economical and ideal for general indoor products.
  • Gloss paper: bright colour and premium shelf appeal for dry applications.
  • Matte BOPP: moisture-resistant synthetic film with a soft, low-glare finish.
  • Gloss BOPP: moisture-resistant synthetic film with vivid colour and shine.

For water, refrigeration, oils, chemicals or heavy handling, tell us the application so we can confirm the best facestock, adhesive and ink compatibility.

Expert Answers

Inkjet Labels FAQs

Find answers to common questions about inkjet labels, compatible materials, printer fit, durability, and how to choose the right label stock for your application.

What are inkjet labels?

Inkjet labels are label materials designed to work with color inkjet label printers, helping produce sharp graphics, readable barcodes, and high-resolution finished labels for packaging and identification.

What printers use inkjet labels?

Inkjet labels are commonly used with color label printers from brands such as Epson, Primera, Afinia, VIPColor, and other inkjet-based systems. The right label construction depends on the printer platform and ink system you are using.

What materials are available for inkjet labels?

Inkjet labels are available in a range of constructions including paper, polypropylene, polyester, and other synthetic materials. Different materials are suited to different environments, finishes, and durability requirements.

What is the difference between paper and synthetic inkjet labels?

Paper labels are often preferred for premium presentation, retail packaging, and general indoor use, while synthetic inkjet labels are better for moisture resistance, handling durability, refrigerated products, and tougher operating conditions.

Are inkjet labels good for food, cosmetics, and nutraceutical products?

Yes. Inkjet labels are commonly used for food and beverage, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, candles, personal care products, and specialty retail packaging. The best material depends on the container, environment, and finish you need.

How do I choose the right inkjet label for my printer?

Start by looking at your printer model, ink type, application environment, and desired finish. Then choose the material, adhesive, and construction that best match your product and workflow. ForeFront Label Solutions can help you match the right stock to your printer and use case.
